Q: What Should I wear?

A: Shoes or sandals you do not might getting a little wet. Comfortable clothing, quick drying if possible. Pick something in the “active wear” category and appropriate for the forecast.  If you choose to use a kayak instead of a canoe be prepared to get wet.  When paddling with a kayak paddle the water will drip on you legs and feet during the tour.  An advantage of canoes is that most adult stay high and dry.

Q: Will I see alligators? Is it safe if we do see alligators?

A: Depending on the time of year we do often see alligators during the tour but we do not feed them or encourage them to approach or interact with us. The alligators in our tour areas are wild and scary of humans in boats. Alligators become dangerous when they associate humans with food.  We would never tour in an area where those pontoon boats make the gators dance for chicken.

Q: Will mosquitoes attack me?

A: We rarely see mosquitoes during the day.  Even on the bayou mosquitoes are mainly out at dawn and dusk. Our guides are prepared with bug spray ready if there happens to be some activity but again we rarely need spray.

Q: What is your refund policy?

A: If any tour is cancelled us due to weather or any circumstances a 100% refund will be issued.
If you cancel your reservation 48 before the tour time a 100% is given.
If you cancel your reservation within 24 to 12 hour of the tour time a 50% refund is given.
If you cancel your reservation with less then 12 hours until the tour time or miss the tour no refund is given.

Q: What if it rains?

A: Weather changes fast around New Orleans so don’t worry too much 3 or 4 days out from the tour.  We will not make a final decision about the tour going until 8 am that morning. If was are forced to cancel due to heavy rain, strong winds, or potential lighting we will try to reschedule your party or give a 100% refund. If the forecast is for slight rain we will still tour and provide rain gear and waterproof phone cases if needed but you will still be given the option to reschedule or receive a refund if don’t want to paddle in the rain.  We want you to enjoy your day with us and not feel forced to come because we chose to paddle in the rain.
